On behalf of the Louis D. Brandeis Center Coalition for Combating Anti-Semitism, whose members include numerous Jewish employees of the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG), the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law filed complaints with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The complaints allege that the employees’ own union, A Better NYLAG (ABN), not only failed to represent their interests but also actively obstructed efforts by NYLAG to address and remedy an anti-Semitic workplace environment allegedly fostered by the union itself.

On behalf of the Louis D. Brandeis Center Coalition for Combating Anti-Semitism members, including Jewish students, researchers, and faculty, the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law sued the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for standing idly by as faculty and students cultivated an environment rife with anti-Semitism and fear. According to the complaint, following the October 7 Hamas attacks, MIT became a breeding ground for hatred, where students celebrated the murderous rampage of October 7, shouted for violence against Jews worldwide, cheered for the terrorist group Hamas, interrupted classes with hateful anti-Semitic chants, urinated on the Hillel building, blocked Israelis and Jews from entering certain areas of campus, and distributed “terror maps” promoting violence at campus locations deemed Jewish.
